Our Neighbour at the Round House

On Thursday I met Micheal Heap one of our closest neighbours to the hospice. Mr Heap’s family owned the Hall where the hospice now is and where he lived there as a child ( his nanny had the room I now have as an office).

It was really interesting to hear more of the history of the Hall and the village of Havering-atte-Bower, the Conservation society which supports the village, and how the hospice and the village can work together as neighbours.

It was also fascinating to hear about Mr Heap’s Grammy winning and multi-instrumentalist daughter Imogen Heap and her music, produced next door to us in the Round House.
