On New Years’ Day the Hospice was invited to join the Havering float at the Lords Mayors Parade in London. I had never been before, and what an experience it was.
Although rain was threatened, a passing Sooth Sayer we met along the way kept it at bay.
Thank you to Melvin Wallace, the Mayor of Havering and his team who managed to drum up huge support from the crowd.
A big thankyou also to those from the Hospice who kindly gave their time and skill in shaking buckets, Linda and her little boy, Christine, Jan and Brian and his family.
A great £900 was raised and a good day had by all.
